Lawyer Roy Buenafe, DOLE regional director, said most of those hired onsite are for local employment, with jobs ranging from service crew to medical technologist. ZAMBOANGA CITY - The Department of Labor and Employment-9 (DOLE-9) has released PHP60,000 worth of livelihood starter kits to three victims of human trafficking. The livelihood project was implemented through the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) in partnership with the Philippine National Police-Women and Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC) in Zamboanga Peninsula. Lawyer Roy Buenafe, DOLE regional director, said the livelihood starter kits are composed of grocery items and sacks of rice sufficient to start a neighborhood sundry store (sari-sari store). Buenafe lauded the efforts of the PNP-WCPC in endorsing potential recipients to avail DOLE's programs and services. ZAMBOANGA CITY - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has released a PHP1.6-million fund for its BikeCINATION Project that will provide livelihood assistance to fully vaccinated informal sector workers in the Zamboanga Peninsula. The livelihood assistance that will be given through the BikeCINATION Project is in the form of bicycles and other delivery and vending equipment and tools. Lawyer Roy Buenafe, DOLE regional director, said in a statement Wednesday that the BikeCINATION Project will provide incentives to workers who have completed two doses of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccine.
