ZAMBOANGA CITY - At least 1,907 vacancies, including 600 overseas work, will be offered during the "Kalayaan" (Freedom) job fair at the activity area of KCC Mall-Zamboanga on Sunday. Roy Buenafe, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) regional director, said Saturday that 1,307 of the job vacancies are for local employment while the remaining 600 are for overseas placement. Buenafe said the job fair, part of the 124th Independence Day celebration, will be participated in by 20 local employers and four overseas recruitment agencies. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency will also join the activity since they are looking for new agents. The job fair will likewise be held in other cities and municipalities in the region, in partnership with local government units. DOLE urged jobseekers to take the opportunity to get employed.
