Randy Root, 38, of the 2200 block of Pileggi Road, Warrington, Bucks County, showed no emotion and made no statement in Montgomery County Court on Thursday as a judge sentenced him to 37 to 74 years in prison in connection with an Aug. 23, 2020, incident during which prosecutors said he fired a single gunshot at Upper Gwynedd Police Sergeant Raymond Royds along Cathys Lane in Upper Gwynedd.
