Montague Police Logs: June 18 to June 26, 2021 > Montague, June 18 6:11 a.m. Man calls dispatcher speaking about a police chief in California. 10:58 a.m. Caller states that another vehicle at Family Dollar on Avenue A hit her vehicle and then the driver got out and walked away. 11:34 a.m. Walgreens employee reporting the pharmacy received a fraudulent prescription via fax. The Walgreens in Greenfield also received one from the same person for the same prescription. Officer Nathan Pervere will follow up with a detective. Employee reporting a man just came in and tried to pick up the fake prescription. When asked for ID, the man turned and walked away. He got into the passenger side of a smaller white Honda sedan with New York plates and headed north on Avenue A. BOLO given to Shelburne Control. All parties are out of the house. Call transferred to Shelburne Control. Officer Cody Wells advised. Fire extinguished before officers’ arrival. 2:54 p.m. Postmaster at the Turners Falls Post Office on Avenue A advising someone found a “bag of powder” outside the Post Office, brought it in and left it on a counter. Chief Christopher Williams retrieved the item. 7:22 p.m. Trooper Michael Leslie requests an officer assist him with an aggressive dog at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Regional Dog Shelter on Sandy Lane. Described as a gray jacket with white lettering on the front. Possible intoxication. No call received from store at this time. Checked the area; nobody matching description found. Montague, Nov. 13 1:32 a.m. Officer at scene of disabled motor vehicle on First Street. Vehicle lost its muffler. Driver was able to tie it back on and head on his way. 3:35 p.m. Report of a used needle at the intersection Cross Street and Vladish Avenue. Officer Cody Wells advised.
