You just could feel just how muggy it was, and while it is still a little bit on the humid side, to start out our sunday it, wont be anything like what we had yesterday afternoon, throughout the afternoon hours, because cold front did come through, and it is trying to usher in some drier air. Right now, outside, in philly, it is 17 degrees, our dew point, 65. So again, thats little bit high, but actually still feels like the actual air temperature. The southbound lanes of highway 17 in the santa cruz mountains. Are back open tonight. After a massive mudslide shut down the highway. Caltrans crews are astill managing the flow of traffic by holding cars at times in the southbound lanes. The decision to reopen the northbound side will be made tomorrow afternoon. Engineers are still trying to figure out the best way to clean up the mess. And minimize the chance of yet another mudslide. The cleanup work has proven to be very dangerous.
