Two suspects in custody; remaining suspect considered armed and dangerous
VANCOUVER –The SW Washington Regional Major Crimes Team is continuing the investigation into the shooting death of Clark County Sheriff’s Office Detective Sergeant Jeremy Brown.
Police are still searching for 26-year-old Guillermo O. Raya, who is considered armed and dangerous. A warrant has been issued for his arrest in connection with the shooting. His whereabouts are currently unknown. Photo courtesy of Vancouver Police Department
On Friday (July 23) at about 6:52 p.m., Sgt. Brown was in his vehicle conducting surveillance at 3508 NE 109th Avenue. Other units in the area on the same detail were unable to reach the deputy on the radio and around the same time a citizen heard what sounded like gunshots and saw a male inside a vehicle bleeding and called 9-1-1.
