Investigators say the suspect was armed with a rifle and threatened the children in the home. Police have not identified the officer or the suspect. In south carolina, the jury has the case of a white Police Officer accused of shooting and killing a black man. Officer Michael Slager shot and killed walter scott after he ran from a traffic stop in april of 2015. During closing arguments yesterday, slagers defense team told the jury a guilty verdict would send the wrong message to law enforcement. Scotts familys Attorney Says thats not the Everybody Knows that 90 of the officers out there are brave and doing their job, bravely in the Community Every day. But until we get guilty verdicts when we all know it is murder, the community is upset if they dont get justice. Slager says he shot scott because he feared for his life.
