good morning and welcome to squawk alley. with me at post 9, jon fortt and brian sullivan. welcome. ? thanks. great to have you. joining us as well, henry blodget. good morning to you as welp. great to be here. our top story of course is january net yellin and the fed unanimously approving the first rate hike of the year, the second in the last year. this is the major averages cut early losses and continue to close in on dow 20,000. henry, not eve an rate hike can stall this rally, but the question is whether we re just borrowing from 2015 gains that the point. that is the question. i certainly hope things continue to go up. it s changing the mood, suddenly people are optimistic again, it s wonderful, but stepping back, the fed is raising rates. that is generally not good long term for stock prices. and as we ve talked about a lot over the last few years, stocks are very expensive on a historical basis. the defense for that is rates are super low. now rates ar ....

moment. welcome back to mornings on 2. it is a busy morning. i just ducked out. even my wind was blowing in the wind. it looks good. i m dave clark. steve paulson is right over here. your forecast is an interesting one. it s not going to hit until later except for the north bay. the evening commute will be far worse. it is pouring up in the russian river area and points north. i ve had isolated areas of three to five inch amounts. san francisco, oakland should be around 10:00 to 2:00. maybe a little later. east bay, 2:00 to 4:00. i cannot keep up on the rainfall rates. 3.21. st. helena over an inch of rain. occidental over an inch. so it s in the north bay. eventually it will work its way south. when you see yellyand green on the returns, that means really heavy rain. reports of three to five inches of rain. everybody will be getting in on rain and wind. wind advisories. there are advisories for the burn areas. and in the mountains it is wind and snow. snow will ....
