South Illinois Avenue is expected to re-open by midnight near the University of Tennessee Arboretum after being closed for more than two days because a large high-voltage transmission tower was knocked over near the road in a crash on Friday. The road re-opening is expected to occur before the Monday morning commute.
Turn right onto Scarboro Road to South Illinois Avenue

Turn left onto Emory Valley Road or the Oak Ridge Turnpike
UPDATE (Jan. 25) Officials said that power has been completely restored to all Oak Ridge Electric customers.
Around 12:20 a.m., the Oak Ridge Police Department said that South Illinois Avenue has reopened from Edgemoor Road to Lafayette Drive.
