(WWNY) - SLC Arts is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2021 Decentralization Regrants. SLC Arts offers three grant opportunities for artists, arts organizations, municipalities, and 501(c)3 non-profit organizations throughout St. Lawrence, Jefferson, and Lewis Counties. Each year, through the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Regrant Program, SLC Arts distributes over $60,000 in state funds throughout the North Country, for the purpose of arts programming. Projects of all artistic disciplines funded through this program include, but are not limited to: concerts, theatrical performances, art classes, public art exhibitions, and even the creation of new, community-based work.

Norwood library celebrating reopening April 4-10

All books are priced at $3 per bag. The event will be held in the freshly painted and organized book room; with books available during all regular library hours. Norwood Public Library names winter reading challenge winners

NORWOOD Community members of all ages participated in Norwood Public Library’s Winter Reading Challenge from Jan. 1 through Feb. 27. Above are Lucas, 7, and Lillian Felt, 6, who read six hours to earn a free book, sponsored by the Friends of the Norwood Public Library. All children under 12 who participated earned a free book. The winner of the Teen Challenge raffle was Lance Rowley, age 14. He won a $25 Amazon gift card. The winner of the Adult Challenge raffle was Kathy Londraville. Kathy won a $25 gift certificate to the Hometown Market in Norwood.
