Family Members & Significant Others From Several Third Countries Permitted to Visit Norway

The Norwegian National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) has revealed that from July 5, travellers from several third countries will be allowed to enter, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.
According to a press release issued by the official site of the government, these changes apply to travellers who have a close relationship with a resident of Norway, as the following list indicates:
Adult children, stepchildren, parents and stepparents of adult children or stepchildren
Grandparents, grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Boyfriends and girlfriends over the age of 18 and their minor children. The relationship must have lasted for a minimum of nine months, and the parties must have met each other physically before. ....

AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine benefits outweigh risks, European Medicines Agency reiterates

The benefits of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine outweigh the risks, and the number of people developing blood clots after vaccination does not seem to be higher than in the general population, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) said Monday.
The statement comes after Germany, France and Italy announced temporary suspensions of use of the vaccine.
The agency said it would hold an emergency meeting on Thursday to advise on “any further actions that may need to be taken.” ....

What is your background and educational experience?
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Högskolan på Vestlandet in Norway.
As a child, I wanted to “save the world” with work that could have an impact. Once I finished the mandatory two years of  working as a nurse, I applied to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). My first mission took me to Sierra Leone and worked with children, primary health and outreach activities. This was a critical stepping stone, and paved the way to my involvement in paediatrics, primary health and migration health activities back in Norway and further missions with MSF.  ....

The HSE letter highlights the need to delay the jab for anyone who has a fever or other temporary illness.

The HSE has written to nursing homes highlighting possible risks to frail, elderly people from the vaccine and stating some people may not be suitable vaccine candidates.
The letter, signed by HSE Chief Clinical Officer Dr Colm Henry, was circulated on Sunday to nursing homes and some homes forwarded the letter to families. ....
