F.H. Eilenberger was a German immigrant who worked at bakeries in Galveston and Fort Worth. He started Eilenbergerâs Bakery in Palestine in 1898. It was moved to North John Street in 1918.
The bakery was launched after Eilenberger took his motherâs fruitcake recipe, started making fruitcakes and pastries and a business in town wanted to mail cakes to customers and friends.

Liverpool was transformed into a 1960s London featuring an old Odeon cinema, guitar shop and hotel.
It is believed film crews were preparing to shoot scenes for ITV s new British spy drama, The Ipcress File.
The Ipcress File is an espionage thriller set in Berlin and London during the 1960s.

Warrington Magistrates Court A WOMAN who tried to drive away after crashing into a parked car in Bewsey has been handed a suspended sentence. Desiree Bennett, 36, appeared in Warrington Magistrates Court on Thursday, and was also charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis and driving without third-party insurance. Alison Warburton, prosecuting, told the court that Bennett, of Fry Street in St Helens, hit a parked car in Deal Close on December 20. She tried to drive away down Lovely Lane but was blocked by bollards. Ms Warburton said she then got out of the car and walked away.
