KARACHI: A Filipino woman was found murdered in Clifton on Wednesday, police said.
Area SHO Pir Shabbir Haider said that the body of 32-year-old Sheela was found inside a flat in Upper Gizri by another Filipino woman, who lived in a flat in the same building.
She told police that the victim had been living alone for the past seven months and was a cardiac patient.
The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), where doctors told investigators that she was strangled to death as they found bruises and broken shoulder bones.
The SHO said that she was married but reportedly got separated from her husband recently. She was associated with a private firm which provides foreign women as domestic help in the metropolis.
FIA arrests Nadra official, two agents over fake CNICs

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Sindhâs Anti-Human Trafficking Circle on Wednesday claimed arresting three persons, including an official of the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra), on charges of involvement in making fake computerised national identity cards.
The spokesman for the FIA said personnel raided a location and arrested Abdul Aziz Abbasi, data entry operator at Nadraâs Mega Centre, DHA, along with Muhammad Amin and Meraj (agents of non-nationals).
Ameen obtained CNIC No. 42201-4772707-3 on the basis of fake MNIC No. 504-75-390211 by impersonating himself as a Pakistani national by submitting fake and forged documents and information. He succeeded in obtaining the CNIC with the connivance of Nadra officials as well as agent Meraj by demanding Rs30,000 for the purpose.
