FIA arrests Nadra official, two agents over fake CNICs July 15, 2021 The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Sindh’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle on Wednesday claimed arresting three persons, including an official of the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra), on charges of involvement in making fake computerised national identity cards. The spokesman for the FIA said personnel raided a location and arrested Abdul Aziz Abbasi, data entry operator at Nadra’s Mega Centre, DHA, along with Muhammad Amin and Meraj (agents of non-nationals). Ameen obtained CNIC No. 42201-4772707-3 on the basis of fake MNIC No. 504-75-390211 by impersonating himself as a Pakistani national by submitting fake and forged documents and information. He succeeded in obtaining the CNIC with the connivance of Nadra officials as well as agent Meraj by demanding Rs30,000 for the purpose.
