Currently, there is a vacant police captain position that Dickinson Police Chief Dustin Dassinger is recommending being filled by two police lieutenant positions. Hence, the administrative structure would consist of a police chief, captain and three lieutenants.

With the Jan. 18 expiration of the mask mandate, the Dickinson City Commission met maskless for the first time in a few months Tuesday evening at City Hall for its regular scheduled public meeting to review COVID-19 protocols, construction projects and an award program.
