The Greater Clinton Community raises $30,000 for gifts to the Landau Apartments and Joanna fire families, with the presentation on Christmas Eve Eve, at the First Baptist Church, Clinton. Santa and his elves are there, in addition to event organizers Nickie Templeton, former Clinton High School Athletics Director, and Brenda Stewart, who runs the on-line news outlet, Laurens CountyBUZZ. The Landau and Joanna house fires happened on Sunday, and the Greater Clinton Community immediately sprang into action. Volunteers have been working since Sunday afternoon to sort out a massive amount of clothes donated for the families who lost everything 4 days before Christmas. A fund is established for the fire families benefit at Arthur State Bank. ....

Clinton and Laurens generosity steps to the forefront as Christmas approaches, through The Reindeer Run, Clinton Y Toys Drive, and Clinton High JROTC clothes and soliders-donations drives, among others. Facebook Family!!!! The joanna Fire Dept just responded to a house fire, and the family is in need they have lost everything. (No this is not connected to the Apartments in Clinton) There are 4 boys and mom sizes below: Shoes: Sizes 1, 2, and 3 Mom size Small, and Shoe size 8 Also Christmas toys would be great. They lost all their presents. Please let me know if you have anything that you would like to donate to them. The fire dept is trying to get in touch with red cross.
