Popular travel advice and booking site Tripadvisor has placed its “Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour” on its latest lists of 10 overall experiences in Asia and the world, in the fourth and eighth spots respectively.
Nearly 9,000 visitors – including 2,226 international tourists – gathered at Angkor Wat on March 21 to view the spring equinox sunrise, according to a senior official of the Siem Reap provinical tourism department.
TripAdvisor recently named Siem Reap fourth on its top 25 trending destinations for 2023. The recipients were selected based on ratings and comments by travellers over the previous year. Tripadvisor is a US-based online company which compiles reviews on destinations, hotels, restaurants and attractions across the globe.
