This is a mixed weekend, rain for some of the weekend and then some drying with cooling temperatures. A lot going on. We are starting quite cold out there. 28 right now in allentown, were at 26 in mt. Holly. And philadelphia just a little better off at 36 degrees, the current reading. Although with the light breeze its feeling more like about freezing and some spots below. So bundle up as you head out the door, those getting ready for the big run, this is what were looking at right now. Clouds are increasing across the area.

Temperatures for some f us in the 20s. Were at 28 in allentown, 26 mt. Holly and 28 in vineland. Wilmington, youre right at freezing 32 degrees. And philadelphia now has fallen to 34 degrees, so just above freezing but even the lightest breeze is making it feel like we are below freezing. So layer up as you head out the door. Thats your best chance as you get out there. Now, for those runners youre going to look up at the sky, its still dark right now but may notice increasing clouds. Dont worry, i think the rains going to mostly fall after the Half Marathon is done today. But we are getting cloudier conditions ahead of that rain as it moves towards us and its moving quickly about 40 Miles Per Hour chugging along to the east. First alert meteorologist steve has the timing on the winds and how it will impact your neighborhood and this could throw a wrench in the sunday plans. We have the philadelphia marathon and it does look windy. And in fact our entire region will see the strong wind gusts on the order of 40 to 50 Miles Per Hour. When will it occur, between lets say 4 00 a. M. Through 4 00 p. M. And lets say 7 00 a. M. To 1 00 p. M. The worst of the duration and were looking at sustained winds of 20 to 30 Miles Per Hour but it is the gusts im concerned about. 40 to 50 Miles Per Hour that could snap tree limbs and cause Power Outages and with out door activities on sunday we are concerned with that. It is a piece of the storm system that is delivering us showers. The warm front will sneak through and then we see that breeze kick up. So there is two elements of wind, one tonight with the warm wind and then one element tomorrow with the cold wind. And you feel that with the dropping temperature. Right now we
Right now just some spotty showers. Its the rainout to the west, thats the cold front that will come through here. 36 miles an hour wind gusts right now in dover. When youre waking up at 7 00 a. M. Those high winds are already here. 50 miles an hour. At lunchtime theyre hanging around. And again we could see some damage tomorrow through midday and tomorrow afternoon as, then the wind could step down as we head through the evening. In a few spots. I was just checking if there are damage reports, one that i see so far with a utility pole. The winds are Strong Enough to cause a few issues for this morning. This is not a major danger but you need to watch out this morning. This is now 4 00 in the afternoon. I think the focus of the strongest winds as its passing through the area. Its a windy day no matter how you slice it. There have already been reports in this range particularly overnight in the midnight hours or so. We saw some high gusts reporting in areas like delaware, burks county had gusts above 40 Miles Per Hour. Still continuing to be the potential for us and, again, like i mentioned, downed tree limbs, Power Outages are possible for us. Look at the wind gusts in wilmington and coatesville up to now 41mileperhour gusts in coatesville. The front is moving from west to east so that will be one of the highest points right about the start time for the philadelphia marathon. Looking at your radar and satellite,
