The rain is on its way out. This is very good news for those of you getting ready for the philadelphia marathon to cheer on somebody or for those runners because you can see while theres still rain falling in Philadelphia County its starting to exit montgomery and delaware counties. So next up will be philly, and i really do think it will be moving out right about the start of the race. Runners wont have to deal with it coming down on them while running. They may get a sprinkle as the race starts and this will exit from west to east. It will take longtory get of jersey and parts of delaware. You see a few spots where there is heavier rain falling so this is an isolated spot in Burlington County, down to washington township. This is a brief period of maybe steadier rain and thats at best with a youre getting, nothing dangerous in terms of heavy rain or any flooding concerns right now. If you do a wide view, we have these sprinkles showing up on the boards out to our west and northwest this is because of the rotation of the storm center itself. So were getting whats called lake effect, the snow flurries that are trying to fall over parts of more central pennsylvania. I dont think any of that will make it to us aside from an isolated flake. Everywhere else stays dry this afternoon. In fact, were going to get sunshine by this afternoon so its just morning that youre seeing these showers showing up here. 53 will be the temperature this afternoon in philly. Just 49 in the Lehigh Valley. 54 in new jersey. These arent the actual highs of the day, though, this is an interesting situation where the High Temperature of the day hit right at midnight. And for many spots like philly, it was 60 that we started with at midnight. Were going to be falling as we go through our morning and a tick up in the afternoon with some of that sunshine later in the day. So 53 will be the afternoon temperature. Monday sunshine. Because the cold front will havely passed, the cold air will have settled. 46 degrees in philly. 44 in the suburbs. 46 in jersey. It will be a cooler day on our monday. The hourbyhour model. The rain i was talking about, 6 00 a. M. To 7 00, 7 30. Its already starting to exit new jersey and the shore and by 8 00 a. M. Or so this should move off leaving us with Clear Conditions by around 9 00, 10 00 in the morning and then i expect the mostly Clear Conditions will last much of the day. Heres the afternoon wind forecast for us. 15 to 20mileperhour winds out of the northwest. Gusts 40 to 50 miles an hour possible. Weve had some reports of gusts that strong. This is not a shocker.
