Meteorologist, Justin Drabick, good saturday morning, justin, here we go again. Another round every winter wetter. But nothing like last saturday, 3 inches in philadelphia, ten in south jersey. This is little disturbance, reminder it is wintertime, brush little light snow coming in here this afternoon. I think we will be okay across the region, coming off another warm day yesterday, in the Morning Hours we had temperatures up around 60 degrees. Grounds is still warm. Flirting with the freezing mark right now. So you do have to be aware of maybe slick spots coming in later this afternoon, the road surface still pretty well treated and the brine out there, as well. Quiet across center city, much of the entire Delaware Valley. 31 degrees at the airport, northeast wind at 6 miles per hour, so light breeze, does make it feel like 25. Here is storm scan3, just dealing with cloudy skies everywhere, precipitation way to the south. Thats where the disturbance is going, pushing further south, th

Grabbing the raincoat, as you step outside. While not seeing ton of precipitation, in the philadelphia metro area currently, we are starting to see those showers develop, especially off to the south, wilmington getting maybe few sprinkles down, dover area, zoom out, or if we doo can zoom out see bigger band of showers and maybe even few isolated rumbles of thunder along the front thats extending it self down to the south and west toward baltimore, washington then further off to the west toward hagerstown maryland area, as well. Fog developed this morning, so again, driving around early on this saturday, be wary of that. It will be cool afternoon. Quick break from the kind of damp and dreary weather for our sunday, then chilly and rainy even as we go into the coming week. So outside right now,

Study finds eliminating race-based metrics improves prediction for COPD outcomes

A new study from researchers at Brigham and Women s Hospital has found that using race-neutral metrics to interpret the results of lung function tests more accurately predicted the risk of death and disease flare-ups in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), compared to commonly used race-specific ranges. Results are published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
