New Delhi: The Made in India corona vaccine is seen all over the world now. Many countries of the world are demanding the vaccine manufactured in India in the war against the coronavirus and many of them have been sent free of cost. Now Nepal Army Chief Purna Chandra Thapa has taken the first dose of the Made in India corona vaccine to advance the credibility and acceptance of the vaccine made in India.
Last month, Nepal received the second consignment of the Indian corona vaccine, in which 10 lakh doses were made available. The consignment of the AstraZeneca vaccine made available to Nepal has been produced by the Serum Institute of India (SII) under the name Covishield . Its emergency use was approved in Nepal in January 2021. The immunization campaign started thereafter India sent consignments.
Kathmandu: Nepal has started the second stage vaccination on Tuesday with the Indian-made Corona vaccine Covishield . According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the second drive will include journalists, diplomatic mission officials and frontline government employees vaccinated with the corona. Dr. Shyamraj Upreti, Nepal Coordinator of Corona Vaccination Advisory Committee, said that the grants were provided by the Government of India
According to the information, 300,000 frontier journalists, diplomats and government employees will be vaccinated in the second phase. A total of 430,000 doses of the vaccine were planned in the first phase, but only 184,857 people received the vaccine. The second phase of vaccination will continue till Friday and approximately 300,000 persons will be vaccinated in this phase.
