MANILA - The Department of Health (DOH) on Sunday posted 283 new recoveries and 433 new coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases that slightly raised the total number of active infections to 9,522. The recovery count is now at 2,777,918, or 97.9 percent of the total 2,838,640. MANILA - The Department of Health on Wednesday reported 7,181 new Covid-19 cases, the lowest since August 4. In its latest case bulletin, the agency said the figure pushed the number of active cases to 82,411 and the overall tally to 2,690,455. Of the active cases, about 75.3 percent are mild, 12.1 percent are asymptomatic, 1.6 percent are critical, 3.7 percent are severe, and 7.25 percent are moderate. The DOH also reported 6,889 new recoveries, bringing the country's total number of recovered cases to 2,690,455. Meanwhile, the death toll reached 40,069 after 173 new deaths were recorded.
