arkavathi: Little improvement in Arkavathi water quality

The water quality report for September 2023 reveals a multifold increase in total coliform bacteria over the last five years. While the total coliform value reported in September 2018 was 9,200 MPN/100 ml, it has risen to 1,60,000 MPN/100 ml. The amount of faecal coliform bacteria has also tripled (from 2800 MPN/100 ml to 7,000 MPN/100 ml), and the BOD value has increased from 4 mg/L to 6 mg/L. ....
