He was about perform egg maneuver where he was inverted, cutting a ribbon, i can not give you the details how high that ribbon is or was but i will tell you it is fairly close to the ground when he was flying inverted to cut the ribbon. Stay right where you are. Reporter the plane landed upside down. First it was white smoke, minutes later, black smoke. And flames pouring out of the aircraft. First responders could not save the pilot. They say he died at the scene. I i am i dont know what to think. I was hoping the pilot was okay. Reporter the colonel says the winds were blowing the 12 to 18 miles an hour. They will see if it was playing a role in the crash. The winds are horrendous.
