In addition, a state agency temporarily suspended his license after finding that Christopher Felix Montoya was still running his practice from jail. Montoya, 47, admitted to one count of conspiracy to defraud the U.S. and to pay and receive health care kickbacks, according to the Department of Justice. Montoya, who owns and operates TPC Family Medicine and Urgent Care Clinics in San Antonio and Laredo, was arrested in December 2019 along with Nancy Almaguer, the clinics’ chief operating officer. ....
