In a press meet on Saturday at the Deputy Commissioner s conference hall, the Deputy Commissioner of Barpeta, Munindra Sarma stated that preparation had started for the election in six constituencies of the entire district. In the six constituencies of Barpeta, Sarbhog, Jania, Baghbar, Sarukshetry and Chenga there are all total 11,41,384 voters. Among them, 5,87,680 are male and 5,53,678 are female voters. There are 16,762 D-voters and 1,596 polling stations in the entire district. Total 10 are women polling stations,12 model polling stations, 124 are char area polling stations and 61 polling stations are for web casting. ....
