Sanjiv Kushalkar who apparently controls the NLCF, is said to be the man behind his appointment Perhaps taking a cue from Indian Cooperative news item alluding to the lack of focus among NLCF leadership in finding a suitable candidate in the wake of Pratibha Ahuja’s retirement, the Board rose to the occasion and roped in Satyanarayan, whom people regards as honest and competent.

NCUI: GC meets today; Salary-hike of Project staffs on cards

The Governing Council of apex co-op body NCUI is meeting today at its headquarters in Delhi. While leaders like Dileep Sanghani, Chandra Pal Singh and Bijender may join the meeting physically, many others would join from their respective locations through the web. Among other things , the issue of a salary hike for the Project employees is on the agenda. According to sources, the salaries of these employees may register a growth of 25-30 percent, which on average means an increase of Rs 10,000 per month per employee. It bears recall that the salaries of Project Staff-members are shared on a 50:50 basis between the government and the NCUI. According to sources, the need to raise salary was partly felt as a part of the govt funds lies unutilized. NCUI has either to raise salary or return the money, said an insider.

NCUI’s Chief Executive N Satyanaryana briefly spoke about Indian Cooperative movement in the valedictory session of FICCI Global Youth Entrepreneurship & Industry Connect 2020 (FGYEIC) organized last week in which Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank was the chief guest. Thanking FICCI for collaborating with NCUI as an academic partner for this unique event the CE said, “It must have been an enriching experience for all the participants to gain knowledge from entrepreneurs, and learning about industries which will definitely help them in practical life as entrepreneurs. “We are glad that entrepreneurs from the cooperative sector have also been covered in the event. I am sure that the engagement must have benefitted the participants.
