The Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestras will present a holiday concert on Medford Community Media on Comcast channel 3, Verizon channel 47.
The concert will air at various times throughout December and runs 30 minutes. The performance continues NMYO’s tradition of presenting an annual winter concert to the communities it serves.
Consisting of excerpts from the 2019 “Afternoon of Winter Concerts,” the streamed performance features each of NMYO’s seven ensembles: Prelude String Ensemble, Overture String Ensemble, Flute Choir, Intermezzo Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Select Flute Choir and Symphony Orchestra. Medford musicians shown in this concert include Frederick Sowa on bassoon. His brother, Henry Sowa, joined the orchestras this year on oboe.
