Good afternoon, everyone. Joining uso much for for the American Civil War symposium. Ordinary people, extraordinary times. T up on our roster where she received the 2016 great teacher award. She taught previously at the state of at the university of new york in the state of albany. She received her phd studying under dr. And dr. Gallagher. Dr. Taylor is a member of the board of editors of the journal of southern history and advisor editor for the civil war monitor magazine and coeditor of the university of Georgia Press is on civil war series. Her current book project of the manyy thousands of men and women and children who fled slavery during the civil war and examined how their day to day experiences shaped the way emancipation unfolded in the United States.
