Ondo APC expels Ajasin’s daughter for alleged anti-party activities

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has expelled former governorship aspirants of the party, Mrs Jumoke Anifowose and Mr Nathaniel Adojutelegan for allegedly involving in anti-party activities.
Anifowose and Adojutelegan had approached the court to challenge the candidacy of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the last governorship primary of the party held in 2019 and lost the legal battle at the Supreme Court.
Anifowose is the daughter of a former governor of the state, Pa Adekunle Ajasin.
Addressing journalists on the decision of the party, on Friday, the state Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mr Alex Kalejaiye said the action of the party on the duo was based on the report of the fact-finding committee set up by the party to look into the allegation. ....

A former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last governorship election in Ondo State, Mrs Jumoke Anifowose, on Thursday, said she has been receiving death threat from some chieftains of the party in the state following her insistence not to drop or discontinue her legal action against Governor Rotimi Akeredolu .
Anifowose who disclosed this while reacting to her suspension by the party said some people had been threatening her life, saying some APC chieftain in the state had been after her to assassinate her in order for her case to die a natural death. ....
