BRISTOL A member of the Mount Abraham Union Middle/High School community has tested positive for COVID-19, and multiple people have been quarantined as close contacts. School officials received word Tuesday night of a probable positive COVID-19 at the Bristol school and began contact tracing on Wednesday, said Mount Abe Principal Shannon Warden. Updated data from the Vermont Department of Health confirms that there has been one positive case at the school this week. Warden could not specify if the case was a student, teacher or other staff member. She was also unable to specify how many community members are currently quarantined as close contacts. ....

With the help of Shawn Kimball and NEAT TV in Bristol, chorus students will bring music into the homes of their families and friends on New Year’s Eve. The show will go live at 7 p.m. and will be available on the NEAT TV website for a few days. It is a socially distant alternative to the annual Best Night festivities.
