I think we should really focus on the differences between whats going on now and 1918. Because 1918 did leave us with several lessons. Perhaps the most important one is understanding what it was that was killing people in 1918. Just to remind everybody, back in 1918, people had not yet discovered viruses. That would happen over the next couple of decades. And so there was this terrible disease that ended up killing between 50 million and 100 Million People worldwide, or 675,000 people in the u.
