Premium Content Subscriber only Two women have been treated by paramedics after a car flipped on to its side in a two-car smash in Mooloolaba on Thursday morning. A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said a vehicle collided with a parked car on Douglas St just before 11am. The spokeswoman said the two people in the car were assessed on scene by paramedics. A woman in her 40s suffered neck pain, and a woman in her 30s reported no injuries. Both women declined transport to hospital. A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crew were called to the crash but were not needed. ....
In a flyer published by the Department, it collected neutral and positive feedback to the stage 6, 1.2km stretch from Alexandra Headland to Maroochydore. In the summary of feedback the Department noted 55 per cent of feedback had been neutral or positive about the preferred design, despite a graph in the flyer showing a breakdown of the figures. Of the 1159 pieces of project feedback only 260 were positive, while 375 were neutral and 524 were negative. Sources told the Daily when it came to commercial projects, a positive net present value was considered a critical indicator as to whether or not it was worthy of investment. The spokesman said the type of analysis the council undertook depended on the particular project. “Factors that will influence the type of analysis chosen will include the policy and/or community objectives that are sought from a particular project and the benefits that are expected to be derived from the project, as key considerations,” the spokesman said. ....
