During the lockdown, people were forced to make do with less. Now, some are carrying on with this life lesson, cutting down on city life, eating out, new clothes.
You cannot convince a resident of Mumbai to give up on their city easily. Inured to its frenetic pace, they often believe that there is no other place they would rather live in or work from. Food show director and culinary researcher Shubhra Chatterji used to count herself among their ranks, having spent a decade in the city that she says gave her a career and independence, not to mention an abundance of seafood, which she relishes.
