good evening. welcome to the whole story. conclusion i m anderson cooper. tonight brings us to one of the most beautiful and progressive cities in america. a city known for its social activism as well as it wealth, particularly in the tech world. it s home to the highest number of billionaires per captain in the country. but it s san francisco, in steep decline because of homelessness and drug use. more people died from drug overdoses in this city during the covid pandemic than from the virus itself. cnn s sara sidner heads to the bay area, a place she once called her home to show us what it looks like now and find out what happened to san francisco. so when i first laid eyes on san francisco, i was enchanted. from where i am right now, driving over the bay bridge, and it looked like someone had taken an enormous vat of fog and just continuously poured it over the hills, like dry ice being poured over a perfectly sculpted city on a stage. and then you get down into t ....
will face off once again at the end of the month in the next stage of an election that has been viewed as a referendum on the now 20-year tenure of president erdogan. jomana ca ra cha is joining us now. what would this runoff look like? what s happening behind you? it s still a pretty boisterous scene even at 2:00 in the morning in istanbul. reporter: it is, jim. we are right outside the headquarters of president erdogan s a.k. party here in istanbul. as you can see, hundreds and hundreds of people have been turning up here. you ve got families who are out here. you ve got people who are driving around on motorbikes and their cars waving the turkish flag and the flag of president erdogan s party. this looks like a celebration, but there is no celebration yet. as you mentioned, this is still too close to call. we understand from the country s supreme election council that nearly 90% of the vote has been counted so far, but they haven t given any indication of what thes ....
