The company said the funding was led by Bullpen Capital, as well as Formic Ventures, the venture capital investment firm of Oculus co-founder Michael Antonov. The company is led by CEO and founder Steve McCloskey, an alumni of the nanoengineering program at UC San Diego. Manuel Rivero, provincial health director, told Prensa Latina that the laboratory is being built in a facility of the University of Medical Sciences and will be one of the most modern in the country.
