Downey Introduces Legislation to Establish a Home Repair and Modification for Aging Parents Program 
 
(TRENTON) – To ensure the 1.1 million home caregivers in New Jersey are receiving the benefits and assistance they need to provide for their loved ones, Assemblywoman Joann Downey (D-Monmouth) introduced a measure that would establish a home repair assistance program for homeowners to accommodate their aging parents.
“As Chair of the Assembly Human Services Committee, I believe this bill is essential in ensuring that homes are properly modified and equipped to provide senior family members with a dignified living space and the resources they need to thrive,” said Downey. ....
