East carson city, just before 8 oclock last night. Deputies say the vehicle involved in the hit and run was spotted at a gas station on College Parkway, Near Research way. When officers approached the suspect vehicle, described as a ford pickup the man reportedly rammed the police suv and fled eastbound on College Parkway leading deputies on a high speed chase. The man reportedly lost control of the pickup and crashed at the carson city airport. Deputies say the man died after the pickup thrown from the vehicle. Washoe County District attorney, chris hicks, said the 2014 officer involved shooting of James Luke Bowman was justified. According to reports bowman had an outstanding warrant from the
