Waterville board approves transferring high school assistant principal to Mitchell School principal position
The Waterville Board of Education on Monday also voted to approve a policy governing the recruiting and hiring of administrative staff and directors, as well as a policy on administrative procedures for recruiting and hiring.

WATERVILLE The Waterville Board of Education voted unanimously Monday to approve the transfer of Waterville Senior High School Assistant Principal Kim Taylor to the position of principal at George J. Mitchell School.
Taylor has been assistant principal at the high school since just before the coronavirus pandemic hit in March last year. The school’s Superintendent Eric Haley said in an interview Friday that she is certified as a principal, previously was an elementary school principal in Auburn and is a literacy specialist.

School principals also will update the Waterville Board of Education on Monday about plans for summer camps, to be held for all interested students to address social-emotional needs that may not have been filled this school year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
