Parents and educators are celebrating the Missouri State School Board of Education's decision to restore full accreditation to the Kansas City Public School District.
The Missouri State School Board of Education voted Tuesday to restore Kansas City, Missouri, Public School to full accreditation. The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education recommended the district receive full accreditation for the first time since 2000.
Kansas City Public Schools Superintendent Mark Bedell said that while the district is celebrating regaining its full accreditation, they "have a lot of work to do."
