A onetime new York City Council candidate. He says he may run for mayor. He was tied to icon frontation with bicyclists before. There were accusations he intentionally ran into cyclists. But he was never convicted of any crime. We reached out to lopes by phone. He told me Nothing Happened and wouldnt do an interview with us because, quote, i dont have to. He then hung up. She runs a bicycle coalition. Which was instrumental in adding the new green bike lanes around the city. It is an everyday occurrence for bicyclists, unfortunately. It is our number one concern to get folks to be more respectful of the spaces that were designing. Bicyclists today said theyre always dodging cars. Ive almost been hit a few times.
