As we continue to follow the latest, what youre looking altright here is something that people were specifically told not to do, which is to walk into contaminated flood water. We just had a press conference from sam liccardo talking about all the things we know are inside of that water right now. Oil, sewage, household chemicals. Now, this is the latest, janelle. This is a look right now over the Mobile Home Park off of oakland avenue and dish in san jose. One of the areas targeted for mandatory evacuation. 40 homes in the Mobile Home Park, it started flooding late last night and overnight people were evacuated from the area. This is kind of the flood zone of coyote creek, the section in the bottom there in the bottom near 280, that is the area thats flooding right now. And people are being told to evacuate. If you live in a lowlying area along coyote creek the threat is not over.

Now what . We are still expecting a weakening storm as we get a live look outside at san jose. And temperatures are still very chilly with these clear skies. And i want to show you storm ranger is parked on San Bruno Mountain scanning around the bay area. Nothing on the radar as of yet. But as we open up the picture, we do start to see some of the showers across far northwestern california and the pacific northwest. We will continue to monitor this as it rolls down the coast, but this will indeed be a much dryer storm and it continues to weaken as it moves closer. So, this one not originating out there in the pacific. Its not tapping into any subtropical moisture so thats one of the things that well see different from this storm from the ones that weve seen previously. Only expecting some spot
To have the southbound lanes highway 101 number one and number two lanes open at the embarcadero overpass by 1 00. It all depends what cal trans determines. They have been atop there examining the damage caused by a dump truck that collided with the overpass last night. The impact was so strong it created a crack in the concrete that is 27 feet wide, according to chp. Local cal trans engineers first inspected the damage between 1 00 and 2 00 this morning and around 9 30 workers started ching away the loose concrete. Headquarters coufrom sacramento could get his eyes on the problem. There are two options. Cal trans can reopen the lanes at 1 00 as i mentioned and fix the overpass at a later date, or the damage ask so severe, they can keep the lanes closed and fix the overpass today. This accident happened around 11 00 last night. A dump truck driver had just finished dumping his load about a couple00 yards north of this location at a work site on highway 101, and according to chp, failed
Inside of the shop. You can see right behind me. It was awhile before Fire Fighters tried to pull the man out of the shaft. Once they thought he was okay, Fire Fighters couldnt believe how he got there. Witnesses say the man who was found in a fetal position at the bottom of the shaft has a history of climbing this togos building complex possibly camping out there overnight. But last night or early this morning Fire Fighters say he apparently gained access from a rooftop door to the shaft and fell to the bottom. Workers who arrived at the building this morning said they heard someone faintly crying, help me, after searching awhile they figured out where he was, talked to him through the wall then called 911. I get into the dumpster area and im opening dumpsters behind. It was nervous what i might find. And then i actually heard it myself. It was, help me, please, help me. So, i start to ask, hey, is there someone in there . Yes, im in here. He says, im looking i was looking for a wishi
A 20minute morning recess. This morning, the fingerprints evidence photographer finished testifying about prints he took pictures of that were found on a stun gun and a nine volt battery. The prosecution is trying to make the case that Antolin Garcia torress prints ended up on that battery when he allegedly used the stun gun in an attempted kidnapping in 2009. The defense is arguing that torres has transferred his prints when he restocked that nine volt battery as a tenant at safe way hill. He stands accused in the killing and murder of sierra lamar who disappeared five years ago today on her way to a School Bus Stop in morgan hill. Its been a difficult day for her family, including her father, who is in court this morning. And by his side to show their support, some of the people who helped search for sierra. Enmar class whose own daughter was abducted 24 years ago. This whole operation is really an opportunity for this killer to justify and excuse the actions that brought us all here
