Michelle Leah’s son loves parks. The central Topeka mother is the exact demographic Family Park is trying to attract, but Leah said she might struggle to visit the park s proposed location.
She said she usually has transportation but doesn’t have a functioning car right now because it was totaled. Her limited access to a car would make it hard for her to get out to the proposed location of Family Park.
“It could be a challenge if the bus was the only form of transportation that someone was relying on,” she said. “It’s great if we are building a new park. I think transportation would be key.” ....
