Day Pitney, a storied law firm with Hartford roots that has grown into one of the largest firms in the region, has named a Connecticut native as its new managing partner.
Gregory A. Hayes, who has spent 35 years as an attorney with Day Pitney and its predecessor, became the firm’s managing partner on April 2. In this role, he oversees all 13 offices along the East Coast, from Boston to Miami.

If elected, Parma Heights’ first female council president would become the city’s first female mayor.
“I’ve always thought about running for mayor,” said Gallo, 42, a Strongsville native who has called Parma Heights home for 20 years. “I’ve always been prepared for it, especially being in the role of council president for the past eight years.
“I have the legislative experience as a former clerk of council for 10 years leading up to my appointment to City Council. Over the past five years, I’ve gained administrative experience.”
