WESTPORT Camp Noquochoke, the Boy Scout camp in Westport, may have been closed for more than 40 years, but the indelible impression that special place had on generations of Greater Fall River boys has not faded. June 26 marks the 100th anniversary of the opening of the camp, and a special event on Sept. 25 will be held to mark the occasion.
All Scouts, past and present, are invited to celebrate the centennial. A walk through the forested property that was the site of the former Boy Scout camp is planned, as is a social gathering nearby. More information will be provided later this summer.
