President Bola Tinubu has signed the Student Loans (Access to Higher Education) Act (Repeal and Re-Enactment) Bill, 2024, into law.   SaharaReporters reported on March 20 that the Nigerian Senate had passed the Student Loans (Access to Higher Education) Act (Repeal and Re-Enactment) Bill, 2024, after separate considerations by both the Senate and the House of Representatives of the report of the Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund.

Salary Increment: Your Denial Is Not Enough, Cut Down All Political Office Holders' Salaries — Youth Group Tells Tinubu

  A civic rights group, the Youth Rights Campaign (YRC) has asked President Bola Tinubu to cut down the salaries of all political office holders across all the ministries, departments and agencies in the country. Reacting to President Tinubu-led Nigerian government’s denial of reported approval for 114% increment of salaries of elected office holders, YRC on Friday in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Michael Lenin and the National Secretary, Francis Nwapa, said that the denial was not enough.
