well, there is a chance of it being a dark horse. whether it s going to win, i don t know. i think it is the most entertaining and most fun of the movies. the thing people give quentin tarantino the short shrift on is he s a terrific director of actors. there is so much movie geek excitement in the movies. people don t understand what a great performance he got out of people like christoph waltz and diane kreuger and michael fosbender. it s a terrific film but that gets in the way of the oscars. after all, if the show is entertaining, why should the movies be? christoph waltz is guaranteed for supporting actor, right? unless you have inside information, you want to break another story, i m game. who do you got? okay. well, what about the nominating of ten movies? did that turn out the to be a good idea? in the abstract it s a terrific idea. there are lots of great independent films that all get their awards on friday night.
