World Day Against Child Labour: Organisations calls to eleminate the menace

EM BureauDimapur, June 11 (EMN): National Domestic Workers’ Movement (NDWM), Nagaland Region, in collaboration with Assisi Centre for Integrated Development (ACID), observed ‘World Day Against Child Labour’ at Assisi auditorium on June 11 on the theme “Universal social protection to end child labour.” Delivering the welcome address, NDWM coordinator of Nagaland region, Sr. Pramila Lobo, stated the ‘World Day Against Child Labour’ was observed to eliminate discrimination against children, especially those who are engaged in manual works. Lobo went on to say that millions of children worldwide were trafficked and deprived of their rights to education, right to play, leisure and healthy growth and of free mental, physical, psychological and spiritual growth. She has attributed the conflict, poverty and unrest situation for compelling girls to work as bartenders along Assam and Nagaland borders. He’s now under, ‘Tenacious,’ an independent label and has many exciting projects in the pipeline. In today’s Rhythm of Love Akhrie-Slim takes us through his phases of growing up and how music has shaped him into a better person. Eastern Mirror: Tell us about your early years and your involvement with music. Akhrie-Slim: Okay…Well the first time I rapped was in 8th standard so I was probably around 13 or 14 and it was at a school function I still remember my first rap performance was on the song “I’ll b missing you by Puff Daddy’’. After that I slowly started writing songs of my own, plus some of my friends were also into rap so we started a rap crew known as “Lil Saints” where we would perform in our society and in the year 2012 I was able to drop an album called ‘the mix tape’ which was produced by K ....
