Scoring a 9.9 on the beam was just “icing on the cake” for Auburn’s lone senior Meredith Sylvia. Sylvia had the team’s highest score on beam, Auburn’s third event, and also had a strong exhibition performance on the bars. Coach Jeff Graba said the exhibition performance might be the strongest routine he’s ever seen from her on the bars. “She’s been one of our most steady performers, and she’s always taken her backup role on bars seriously and passionately,” Graba said. “I’m just really excited for her. She’s brought so much and gave so much to this team.”
