Tuesday highs will likely be the warmest temperatures of the year to date. The next chance of rain and snow arrives on wednesday, as a pacific trough pushes inland. It will be warm and windy to start, with gusty southerly wind east of the sierra crest and snow levels above 8000. By wednesday night, temperatures and snow levels will fall rapidly as a cold front moves through. Expect Winter Travel in the sierra, with some slippery spots thursday morning down to 5000. eyewitness news reporter melissa macbride is live with more on this disturbing story. reporter: 61-year-old mark berndt was a teacher at mira monty and is accused of acts on boys and girls that have shocked and disgusted the school community, as well as his neighbors. he allegedly sent cookies laced with semen, and a film processer discovered photos of children with berndt in a classroom, they had blindfolds on and tape on their mouth. the pictures showed girls with spoons out of their mouths containing a liquid. dna resealed it was semen. investigators found several photos when they searched his home in torrence. he was arrested on monday. a neighbor shot cell phone video of the arrest. people in the neighborhood say berndt was a loner. just not right in the head. just flaky.
